Got a 2004 vstar 1100 and I replaced the head light with one with turn signals integrated, and replaced the tail light and turn signals on the back with bullet style that has turn signals integrated. When I flip on the turn signals all the turn signals flash. No matter if I do left or right. Double checked the wiring and everything is wired right,m. Unplugged the right rear signal and it still flashed the other three, then the rear left same thing. Unplugged one of the head light turn signals, same then then both same thing. At first it had hyper flash so I thought I would need to replace the relay. Did that, and still no hell other then not making them all hyper flash at once. Double checked my ground on the battery, all good. So I left the ground off all last night and into this morning. Checked this morning and same thing with all 4 flashing. Also the turn signal indicator bulb in dash doesn’t flash. For either left or right. No power going to bulb.

4 way flash is a common problem converting to LED. It is caused by current leakage thru the shared turn signal indicator bulb. To verify, remove the bulb and retest. Easy fix is to install a diode in the wiring to the bulb.

Not the turn signal bulbs... The turn INDICATOR bulb in the speedometer....at least in my 650 with just the bulb shared by both left and right turns.

I performed both mods on my 650 after the switch to LEDs.
Added the diode to the turn indicator bulb in the speedo to stop 4 way flash and the relay mod to stop hyperflashing. Those steps I documented in this post. I would say its medium difficulty but it does retain the turn self cancellation feature.
