Took my first semi-long ride this morning with my new (to me) bike and helmet. About an hour on the back roads around Tallahassee. I am happy to report that the Nolan seems excellent. Wind noise is low, even with the face shield up. Comfort is high, no pressure points or excessive rubbing/chafing, and noise seems to be quite tolerable, at least compared to the el-cheapo helmet I was making do with. Above all, it's COOL. Even in the AM, the temp was in the lo 90's, but with the vents open I was pleasantly surprised- very comfortable. Thanks to everyone who posted their advice- I truly appreciate it. I'm not sure if it's appropriate in this forum, but the local cycle shop, Red Hills, was extremely helpful, and I would recommended them to anyone in the area.
