resetting check engine light

hi all, my check engine light is on after installing vance&hines fuelpak on my 09 v star 950. I didnt have the injectors harnass plugged in all the way so I fixed that I hope. I was wondering will the check engine light reset it self or do I need to reset it my self in someway? The code showing is #39, any help would be GREATLY appreciated thanks :)

I don't know what fault code 39 is. The list I have for a Stratoliner does not have 39.

I would assume if the fault is gone then disconnecting the battery would reset and clear it.
