I'm always looking alternative to the HIGH after market motorcycle accessory's. So i found this at wall-mart for under 20 bucks, it is a gel seat for a car. about 3/4" waffle cone shape by about 1" thick. almost looks like it was made for my bike seat. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab154/farmalldanzil/DSCF0279.jpg

i can appreciate going for a cheap alternative, but i just don't want to sit on a pad. i want to sit on a seat. i want the seat to be comfortable, not have to throw something on top of it to make it so. seems like just putting a band aid over it.

I used the WalMart gel pad on my Wing, but I put it under an Alaska Leather Sheepskin Buttpad. The combination is comfortable in hot or cold extremes. The buttpads go for about $60 and the folks have good customer service (and no, I have nothing to do with them other than being a customer):
