Was about 50 yards from home last night. Tried to downshift and noticed that my heel toe shift lever was just dangling there. Thank God I was that close to home. It was too dark to see what was happening, but it seems like a bolt was there to attach the shift left to the frame. Is it a nut or c clamp that holds it together.? I didn't feel a hole for a cotter pin.

There should be a washer on either side and a circlip to retain it. The shaft should be on the floorboard bracket facing toward the engine. That's assuming your model has floorboards.

Shift lever fell off!

Need suggestion. Bike modded before me, appears that they drilled out the stud for shift lever. Is there a replacement stud available? It has about 10 washers, undersized bolt, and a nylock, holding it on! With the bolt now, the floorboard, doesn't fold up!

Thinking about boring out the flange hole that's there, tapping it, and threading in a bolt from the engine (inside) side of the flange.
