I moaned about the problems I am having with my new 950 the other day so I thought it might be good to let you know things are improved.

My clutch lever was pulling back to the bar and staying there and I thought the actuation arm had seized. I said I was going to take it to the dealer but curiosity got the better of me and I had to have a look at it myself.

It turned out that the cable nipple had seized in the lever at the handlebar end, something I have never come across. A clean and some lube and normal action has been restored.

I feel better now.

As a dirt biker I have learned the importance of lubing cables. They make a cable lubing device that allows for a straw from a lubricant spray can to direct fluid down the sheath. I always run brake clean until I see it run clean and then the fresh cable lube. It require taking the lever off from time to time, but well worth it.
