2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic.
30,150 Miles
VIN: JYAVM01E11A028241
I hold a Clear Title to this motorcycle.
Purchased in March, 2017 with around 10,500 miles, I am at least the 3rd owner of this bike. I purchased it as a Starter Bike as, I hadn't ridden since the 1980's and and wasn't sure how "into it" I would be. By 2019, this became my Daily Driver for commuting to and from work. I finally decided that I should replace it with an electric bike and purchased a Zero over the winter.
Mechanically, it had been modified with an aftermarket exhaust but, the Stock exhaust was put back on. That's why there is that weird gap in the chrome exhaust trim. (I left the aftermarket exhaust with Previous Owner.) I just never looked into what it would take to get that fixed. Otherwise, the bike is fine. It starts right up. Above around 55 degrees, without choke.
Stock front turn signals have been replaced with the Kuryaken P/N 5009 Driving Light/Turn Signal assembly (now discontinued) with the correct-for-the-bike mounting plate and handlebar mounted Light Switch. I have everything to revert back to the factory turn signals.
Headlight has been replaced with a DOT Approved LED Headlight. Again, I have everything to revert back to the H4 Halogen Headlight.
Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing with Quick Release and both 5" and 9" windshields and, Memphis Shades Fork Deflectors.
Viking Bags "Lamellar Extra Large Painted" saddlebags with Quick Disconnect system.
Heated Hand Grips.
Will throw in a Motorcycle Dolly (Harbor Freight # 95896) that I got with the bike.
Bike was recently repaired by replacing the Final Drive Assembly with a used one from another forum member.
