I just bought a 2008 V Star 1100 custom silverado, and the spark plug tool doesn't fit the spark plug, anyone know off hand what size socket the plug is. Thanks for your help.
Sugar Bear's got it. 13/16 inch is correct. NGK spark plug BPR7ES is standard. With NGK plugs the first letter "B", in this case, represents the hex socket size which is 13/16 inch. "D"= 18mm and "C"= 5/8 inch. Furthermore, if you're interested, the "P" represents the "projected" tip, the "R" stands for "resistor" type, the "7" represents the heat range, the "E" represents the thread length and the "S" (standard type) represents the electrode type and/or ground strap material.
Mr. Cheese, I know this ain't the right place for this post, but Sugar Bear don't care. Thank you for being here on this forum, you seem to be willing to help with all you know. That's a good thing. You can sure help lots of us. Ride Safe.
