Bought a 04 Silverado 1100 and will have it stored in San Antonio Tx for 2 months out of every 3, sometimes it may stretch to 3 month stored and then I'll get to ride it. It's covered by a moto cover.

I've removed the battery and put it on a battery tender.
I've put Stabil in the gas tank and run it for about 5 minutes prior to shutting it down.

When I get back to it anyone have any recommendations as to start up? There may be no problems. I will change the oil this time shortly after I get there and run it awhile but I need to run it to get the oil warm anyway.

Should I drain the oil prior to shutting it down each time I leave it?
Any other procedures you'd suggest on shut down?

I'd make sure your tank is topped off. You're already planning on adding staybil, and putting the battery on a tender. I wouldn't drain the oil, depending on the time frame, I'd might change it prior to riding it again. If its only been a couple of months, the oil should be fine.
