Strat code 19 help needed

273 Views 7 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Judah Ben-Hur
I have a 2007 Strat S with a code 19 showing on the instrument cluster. Does anybody know what I need to do to fix it? I don't know if this other issue is related to the code 19 but when the key is in the off position all electrical systems remain on. I can pull the key all of the way out of the ignition switch and still start the engine. For the time being I disconnected the battery cables.

If anyone can help me that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Thank you @lesblank for your quick response. Would a faulty starter relay also cause the power to stay on when the key is off?

Yes, but could be faulty ignition switch. Need to check continuity on both.
@lesblank Okay, I'll check both. Thanks again.

I'm struggling with the reference to an outboard motor code sheet.
If I ever see my Roadie showing code 83 I've got real problems.
