:cool:Well I thought I would see what other have to think my self I love my Stratoliner S. But to make the bike the prefect! To me it 's lacking 2 things 1. (6 Speed Trans.2. Cruse Control Yes I know you can buy the Death Trap No I mean the Mal one But I like the Ele Kind Like on my H.D. & a Yamaha I saw. I have all ready put my Sounds in they are Great!:D

Liner

Some don't want a windshield so a roadliner would be for them. I wanted the shield and bags so bought a Stratoliner. Another reason to buy a Roadliner might be to then buy after market fairing and bags like Corbin. Makes a nice looking bike.

As for the sixth gear I like the fact that the torque peaks at 65 MPH and if I need to pull away from a car changing lanes I can. Don't know what top end is but it is more than 120 MPH with windshield, bags and two up. I soon get accustomed to the engine sound so I don't see the need for a sixth gear.

I added a throttle myster not a cruse control but it is a cruiser not a touring bike. The Venture has a cruise control but costs a little more and does not have the same handling.

So I am happy where I am, well for now anyway.

Whelen LIN3™ Series Super-LED® Linear Lighthead

Eddie,

I have not seen the LIN3. Looks interesting on their web site, wonder where you mounted it? There are some super bright LED's available today that really do the job. I am not sure my Back off LED license plate bracket is one of them. I also do not think the stock LED brake light is as bright as it could be. Don't know if the later models are brighter or not but my 06 could be brighter. Some of these company's are using the old standard LED's and capitalizing on the new stuff.

Wonder it your LIN3 could be mounted on the license plate without blocking anything? Will be looking for a picture.

get the stratoliner. you can take all the stuff off if you wish and then you have a roadliner. put it back on and you have your strat back. besides once you get used to the bags it is very hard not to have them. if you buy a roadliner then if you want the bags, backrest, windshield then you end up shelling out way more $$$ than what the stratoliner would have cost you.

Hello FastEddie,

Sorry for the delay with this message, we have been out of the
shop for
the holidays and we just returned.

With the stock pipes, PC and our air filter kit we achieved 13
hp. We
have not seen any pipes on the market actually increase
horsepower as of
yet. So the stock pipes are the best as of now.)

DSSFastEddie, what all did you need to order to hook up the Lin3's and how did you do it? Did you just splice into the brake lights. Also, how much of a pain was the BAK kit to install, were the instructions pretty much straight forward?

Thanks, George
