On the way home Wednesday I felt a snap and my throttle went loose. Tightened up the "pull" cable and went home. Everything seems to be working fine for now. From what I understand, the push cable is backup to throttle doesn't get stuck open right? Can I ride until I replace it?
I was already planning on replacing them with steel braid cables, but now it's gone from want to need. I saw some on PCS that were a little on the pricey side. Are there any good aftermarket replacements in black that aren't gonna hurt my wallet?

one cable pulls the throttle open
the other cable pulls the throttle closed

you cannot push a rope

the return spring is your get-me-home failsafe - it got you home - that is the extent of your luck
