I had the opportunity to give my 1100 a run and found the top speed is about 180kmh or 110mph it seems it should go better than that or am I expecting to much

LOL No, they are speed limited to 110MPH. I think its the white wire to the igniter box, not sure of a work around. Do a search of the board for speed limiter, or google speed limiter V-star 1100. I think the Dyna Ignition modules do this. If you can find a 2000, the 3000's are out now but don't offer much for the 1100.
