Well, I have been riding for about 3 months now and still have my permit! I ride a 650 vstar custom! This will be my first ride in a large group and I am very excited( a little nervous too)! I can't think of a better way to start out! Being on a bike has felt so natural that I am not sure why I waited until I was 28! I will gladly take pics and post after the ride. I am certain I will have a lot to say!

Cool, Tiffany! I am new here as well, and also ride a 650 (Custom). A toy run sounds super cool. What a fun experience! You will have to give us all the details afterward.

I know what you mean about having waited so long to ride. I have ridden dirt bikes and quads, but never a street bike. My husband wanted to get rid of our 71 Camaro and buy a bike again and I have to admit I was terrified. People are such jerks on the street! However, it was his decision to make and I supported him,,,,and what do you know??!?!?!? I got on his bike the first time and I was HOOKED! I love it! Pretty soon (like a month later, :)) I had my own bike. Well, what can you say?? Its a woman's perogative to change her mind....lol

Have fun on the toy run! Be safe! See ya around...

I wanted to close this out by telling you all a little about the ride today! I must say I am amazed and excited by all the toys and cash collected for the Kids. Over 1000 riders showed up showing support. We filled a military cargo truck to the top of the canvas with toys and collected over 1000 dollars to donate to the Marines Toys for Tots as well. Are route was fully escorted and it took about 20 to 30 minutes before the last of us to cross an intersection. We also had a moment to enjoy I-26 with no worries of aggressive South Carolina drivers. I could not have picked a better rally to start with. It was a beautiful 75 degrees and sunny the whole way. I hope you all had as great of a day to ride as I did!
