I just bought a 2006 V-Star 1100. I was told it's a Silverado, but what is the difference between a Classic and Sliverado?

So it's got the windshield, the highway lights, the studded seats, and at one time had saddle bags, but they are gone now. Is there any other way to tell, like a serial number or something? Or does it make a difference?
