So I have found 2 seats within driving distance that I am considering. Keep in mind prices are Canadian, so dont be shocked.

The first a is a Corbin single (rider/passenger) seat. Looks to be well used, but some leather condition should bring it back to life. He is asking $200, has been for sale for 6 months. I offered $100 to see what he says.

The second is a set of Mustang seats (rider and Passenger set). New, never installed. He is asking $700, which is far more than I would like to pay. But if I could get it for around $500, I would consider it.

I guess my question to you folks is, what are your thoughts on these two seats and companies. I hear mixed reviews on the mustang. A lot of folks say it pushes you too far forward. I have not heard much for reviews on the Corbin, although when I rode Ducati that was the seat of choice for most riders. I never splurged myself.

i bought a Corbin for an Indian i had and it didn't really make much difference in the comfort. it went from a 30-40min seat to maybe 45-60 min before it was damn near intolerable. not worth the $500 when you work an hour from home. in my limited experience (and I have no experience with that brand) the Mustang looks like it would be more comfortable... in that it looks like seats that i have found to be comfortable.

I have the Mustang on my 1100 Star and it’s sensational; very cushioned, yet very supportive, especially for my lower back and blows away the OEM in all aspects.

I have the Corbin on my 1100 Gixxer and it’s perfect for that bike; nicely contoured for better comfort, yet still very supportive for still being “one with the bike”.

Thanks for the few that responded, I very much appreciated. I reached out to the seller of the mustang a few times over the last week and never got a response. As interested as I was, it was a 4 hour drive and a higher price tag than I wanted (although likely worth it).

I reached out to the Corbin seller and met him this morning to take a look. Heck of a nice old guy, who bought it new. Said he took it off his star with the hopes he could have it modded to fit his new gold wing because he loves it so much. Turns your the bikes are to different frame wise to make it work, hence the sale.

He wouldn’t budge on price, Not a cent. Which I respect given his reasonable asking price and the fact he had to purchase at the sticker price. I ended up buying it, and I think it it is going to be perfect. Well maintained and back seat never saw a passenger (his words). Pulled out the bees wax leather condition tonight and she looks like new. Will be home by the end of the week to install, and can’t wait. Photos to come installed.
