I have a situation. I am riding a '07 V star 650 Custom
Just recently I am experiencing a loss of power when riding my bike. When I am trying to go above 30 mph or trying to accelerate from 2nd gear & above, I am experiencing missing beats of the bike as I open the throttle, and it comes back to normal when I drive slower and the throttle is down. I am unable to catch up to the freeway speed when I get on the On-ramp. I have to slowly let the bike catch up the speed in the 4th or 5th gear, as if the bike is short of fuel.

Now, when I am climbing uphill, the engine misses a lot of beats and once I am uphill, it drives normal.
It is also loosing power or beats continuously when I am accelerating too fast like between 3rd & 4th, and 4th & 5th gear. I am confused over this issue.
So far an experienced local mechanic has looked into it. Fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, and the carburetor jets are all clean. Spark plugs are replaced, and the coils are working okay. Carburetor was synchronized, & air intake was checked. Side stand switch was also ruled out. Motorcycle starts and idles normally. He could not locate the problem & is confused too.
What do you say could be the problem ??

What area of the throttle are you having problems with, 1/4, 1/2 etc. Have you removed petcock possibly clogged/flushed tank? Sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Has anyone touched your needles, removed shims or moved c-clip(aftermarket needles)? Does it sound like its missing(running on one cylinder)?

Problem with about 1/2 half throttle. Mechanic inspected the fuel lines, and fuel filter, He says that all is okay.

Has the TPS Throttle Position sensor been checked, its input helps to set the timing for the engine. It sounds like fuel starvation but this will cause like symptoms. Have the Float bowls been cleaned? You mentioned something about the carbs earlier. Were the floats set correctly or reset?
