I recently added a cobra slip on and intake on a friends 2012 tourer. Now we go to put the FI2000 (open loop just two plugs) And we go to looking under the tank for the plugs we need to tap into. Every video shows them way forward. Mine are like 4 inches from the seat latch just past the bolts for the seat. is this correct before I hook juice to it? Mine are nowhere close to all the videos I see for the 1300

I think your fuel processor is the antiquated type which you adjust three settings ? The Powrpro version continually adjusts itself. It plugs in under the tank and undr the seat. I've used the fi2000powerpro black and then Ivan's Flash . Trust everyone when they say " send it to Ivan". Do it once, do it right !

The plug you are looking for is on the LHS just under tha back of the tank. It's the injector connections. The one under the RHS further forward is the TPS, which I don't think your unit connects to.

I have the Dynojet FC which used both. I've also been given maps for my inlet / exhaust combo by the supplier. No it's not as comprehensive as Ivan's remap, but very good.

Jo is correct, your's does appear extremely basic. Only having the injector pulses and no custom map, just 3 pots. It might do OK, I can't say. I reverse engineered the maps for mine (out of interest) but won't put them on here as they don't blong to me. I can tell you the low RPMs and throttle need quite a lot more fuel, the mids quite a lot and the top hardly any. That may or may not help as your device doesn't see throttle position. You may get frustrated.....

I also had to figure out where to plug the FI2000 fuel tuner into as the instructions weren’t quite right, just look for the injector plugs. That FI2000 might be an antique, but it woke my bike right up after installing (6 yrs ago & over 22k miles so far) my bike has the Cobra slip on muffler & Power-Flo intake. I haven’t had to touch the settings since.
