Hey everyone. Two days ago I bought my first Yamaha, an '07 Road Star Silverado, I've put 150 miles on it so far and and like it a lot.

I've had a motorcycle license for over 40 years and owned about a dozen different bikes in my riding history. Most of my riding was 25 years ago on a Kawasaki GPZ1100.

After about 8 years without riding, I rented two Harleys for my son and I to spend a day riding. I was on a Heritage Softail, I liked it and realized how much I missed the sport. Three days later, I own my R*.

I'm glad I've found this forum, I've learned a lot about my new ride already.

Thanks for the welcome wishes.

Longboats is still there, but they knocked that entire row of buildings down and rebuilt. Foods the same, most of the old decor was reused but it's not the same. No more wooden deck, it's all concrete.

Welcome. I hope you appreciate the warm weather where you are......we woke up to 0 degrees this morning :( My V Star looks very sad sitting in the garage, almost as sad as I am.
Thank you. I sure do. Went out this morning at sunrise, 65 degrees, warmed up to 77 at the end of my 135 mile pleasure cruise.

Most of my riding history was in NY and New England. I do miss those fall rides through the Adirondacks. I've done my share of cold weather riding. Temperature rarely stopped me. Suit up and go.
