I find myself on YouTube a lot watching wheeling videos. Some are amazing. you can even see guys on a Harley dresser up on his back fender. Not that I would ever have the balls to attempt one, but would a wheelie be possible with my 2012 950 Vstar?

@Lee H I am pretty sure it can be done on a 950. Practice will tell if you yourself can do it. I have watched the HD demo team do it on Street 750s and other folks do it on smaller cruisers like the Suzuki GZ250. Just keep in mind the amount of damage you may incur with drops.

I have too much of a conscience. It would not allow me to beat the crap out of my beloved 950 in order to try it. It does blow my mind to see how easily people seem to be able to get that front wheel up.

It is easy on the shorter wheel base dirt bikes, I have seen guys do it on full dress harleys. I have no desire to bring the front end up and slam it back down and take a chance of hurting the headset.
But that being said here is a picture of a younger me doing it on said short wheel base dirt bike.

Jspree - that pic was me growing up! One of the reasons I bought a cruiser with forward controls was to protect me from myself 😂😂. I think very clearly in the planning phase, but there’s a part of me that would forget how many birthdays have passed and twist the throttle to prove I can still do it!!

Anything can be wheelied with sufficent power and the right technique. My brother's 1200 Multistrada will literally flip over backwards if you give it full throttle in second gear between 45 and 60 mph. That's without any kind of technique other than whacking the throttle open. I see little point in doing them, though. First, I am not good at them. Second, because not being good at it puts a toll on the clutch, forks and steering stem bearings. Third, because if a police officer spot me doing one, I will promptly lose my license. YMMV.

Even the heavy Rocket III can do it.

If you want it bad enough, anything can be done

If it has a clutch and a halfway decent motor, it can wheelie. I used to stunt back in the day, but only on sportbikes. I won't loft the wheel on any of my cruisers.
