Long story short the wife is getting a new bike tomorrow. While it is not a Yama it is a beautiful and looks like fun bike. It is a 2016 HONDA® CTX® 700N DCT ABS. The salesman asked what I rode and I told him. He is trying to sell me a 2015 1300 touring. I wonder if it is worth it to trade my bike that I owe NOTHING on for it. He said the Mustang seat will interchange which is 800 dollars I spent on the bike 600 for the seat and 200 for gel to be installed. I wonder if the trunk will swap over. 50 for the trunk and hours of work on the brackets. I know the rear floorboards will swap and I just put 400 dollars worth of tires on her. They would have to come BIG on a trade in.

Congrats to the wife!

Hard to get rid of something that's paid for and that you really like. FWIW, the 1300 is an excellent bike ;)

Your wife will like the Honda CTX 700. My friend purchased a 2014 and loves it! By the way there is a great forum for the CTX, too. Lots of good information for the wife. Sounds like you have lots of additions to your ride and makes for a hard decision to trade...take your time and think what is most important to you. Good luck! YammyV

Well? How's she likin' it?

AND what about the trade? I'm kinda hoping you kept the 950, after all the work you put into it. Plus, the 950 is prettier...don't flame me, 1300 riders!...I just like the sleek look of the 950. AND you can't beat a paid-for bike.

But if you've already succumbed to the temptation, congratulations! :)

She LOVES her bike. I did not succumb to the temptation. I kept Yamagurl. After a nice 80 mile scoot after work last night with the wife I rode her bike for about 6 miles. I have decided I do not want one.. LOL It is quicker than mine (4 more hp and over 100lbs lighter helps) but it feels very plastic. Yes, it has a ton of plastic on it but you feel that. I felt like I was on a bicycle without having to pedal if that makes sense.

Ctx is a pretty aerodynamic bike, and you can definitely feel the difference.

Ever ride your bike for a while with a really strong tail wind, you just crack the throttle and the bike GOES! Its like that.

When you are riding at a steady speed nearly all your HP is spent fighting the headwind.
