Hello everyone! I am posting this in "The Lounge" section under Non-motorcycle Discussions. Not because this is not about motorcycles, but because this is a non-Star Bike motorcycle discussion.

I have to admit that I am a girl who is infatuated with two wheels and traveling. Women culture in the motorcycle industry is growing and expanding, and I want to do more research about the different facets that are forming.

Many years have passed since the dawn of the motorized two-wheeler. Different sub-cultures have emerged within the motorcycle world, and I am starting to see groups of women who bridge the gap between these sub-cultures. Why are they bridging them? Because women are still a minority among bikers. Women are starting to connect in areas, towns, states, coasts; and they come from all different walks of life. They are connecting and bonding wherever and however it is convenient. They may be on different bikes, have different styles, but share the common love of riding.

I would like to share some links to videos that I find. This first one will be something that I found on YouTube. And I'm sure that I will find many other videos this same way, (just clicking around).
This first video is a documentary, called "Driven to Ride". Click red link below to watch:

This video hits close to home for me. I had seen this posted through one of the women in my Cambridge, Massachusetts based MC, Moving Violations. They are a kind of sister club to the Sirens MC of NYC. I know a couple of the member, and they are awesome ladies! Both clubs do tons of charity work, so I was not surprised to see this.

The clip shows how they deliver breast milk to babies in record time.

Here's another news reel about some NYC women from the BBC News, 2015. Just a general video about how these few women became interested in riding, and what they love about it. They women interviewed touch on how they may have different styles, but they all come together.

Caption from 2015 video reads: "The number of women taking to the road on motorcycles in the US is on the rise, up 30% over the past decade. Meet the members of one female-only bike club in New York"...

I have to admit that I think the new movement of younger women, or "babes" out there, promoting motorcycles are pretty cool. There's a whole load of content being put out by female motorcyclists who love art, tattoos, punk rock, and being individual babes.

Often you'll see them on old choppers, vintage triumphs, etc. Wearing their Biltwells with bubble shield. Looking badass.

It's great to see much more womens riding apparel on the market now too. In years gone by I found it really hard to get leathers and such that looked nice on my gal. Now there's a much wider choice of womens jackets, pants, and boots. Love a woman in leather...

Female Harley-Davidson Riders at Daytona Bike Week

Video caption reads:
"With more women on the road on two wheels than ever before, Harley Women know the feeling of power and independence that comes with riding. Here’s to all of the women – mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends – who inspire others to fearlessly pursue their passions."

This young British girl sets out on a world adventure. This is not the "romantic" solo, female rider notion that I was first so infatuated with. But this is actually very, very cool. To be sponsored by BMW, and have all of these fantastic adventure riders join you on different legs of the journey. -- I would jump at the chance.

Worth watching.

This well established motorcycle traveler who works with Harley Davidson has a channel on Youtube. He travels with this little Chihuahua, Scooter. I just stumbled upon this video, and thought it was really cool. I will have to check out more of his videos. It is from "Adam Sandoval Rides" on Youtube.
