This was on my facebook feed today. First time in a while I've seen the SVTC advertised.

It’s interesting, at least to me, that after the big promotion of the SVTC debuted, the promos all but disappeared. Whenever I see or read an article about them, the bike still gets rave reviews except what happened to GArider. I’ve seen prices coming down on unsold 2018 models, but it seems almost as if Yamaha debuted them and quietly walked away. Maybe it’s just me though.

It also happened to me @Keith Post . Did you forget that?
There are rumors circulating on some Facebook sites that Yamaha knows of an issue with these lifters and “may” be planning a fix to change them over to rollers. Yamaha has been far too quiet about too many things regarding this bike.
I doubt they’re abandoning it given 2019 model being released in Canada, but they’ve been EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT in responding to owners concerns.
A number of simple items could be addressed with a software update. The engine issues are a different subject, but Yamaha has not communicated ANYTHING to address concerns of owners.
You’d think they’d at least acknowledge that they’ve heard us and are working on solutions but all we hear are crickets!
I love this bike BUT I’m extremely disappointed in Yamahas handling of the whole situation.

Out of curiosity I searched the Yamaha websites in US, Canada, Europe, India, South Africa, Japan and South America. Yamaha has a designated site for each market. It's interesting to see the different models in different markets. As far as the SVTC it's only listed in two markets, US as the 2018 model and Canada as the 2020 model. Looking at other markets and their lineup it's similar to US as many list previous years models as current also. Obviously not changing models every year works for Yamaha. Just thought it was interesting.

I haven’t forgotten about you ChiefGunner, believe me I haven’t.
I agree in what appears to be a lost contact with the owners and being in touch and feedback with said owners. My question is why should the owners have to be inconvenienced before the corporation steps up to the plate and addresses whats really going on and risk loss of sales and confidence in their brand? Just sayin....
