Wiring ideas for you

Hey Rocknroll
I have run two sets of wires for my LED lighting system and also for the LEDS in my tourpack trunk, I started at the underseat tail light connector, ran the wires in a long piece of black shrink tubing under the frame member to the rear of the electrics, then followed the fender braces back to the tail light area. I used black cable ties to hold the new wiring harness tight to the inside of the rails, and connected to the saddle bag support frames, in your case, just follow the saddle bag back leg down to the cross brace, the one going to both sides behind your rear wheel. So black cable ties and black shrink tubing hides it fairly well, you can't see my wiring unless I remove the left saddlebag. I also have connectors under my trunk for maintenance, as if you ever have to remove your fender or anything on the rear, you can just unhook the connectors.
Enjoy !
Oh I soldered and shrink tubed all the new connections on the tail light connection end, not the source connector.

Like krb said it is very easy. Once you remove the cover it will be hanging from the cable that controls the latch for the lock. It will be self explanatory how to remove it once you see it. the hardest part of the job might be finding the #40torx bit that is not sold in a set.

Rocknroll90, the bit you need is a T30 security bit. You can purchase the single bit from quite a few places for cheap: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/EazyPower-13246-T30-Security-Insert/dp/B000BQS4JW[/ame]

For a little more, you can buy a whole set of security bits that are not just useful for motorcycles but also for all kinds of game consoles and electronics, and bathroom stalls .

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=SECURITY+BIT&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1

In this kit, the bit you would use for the 'Liner side cover would be labeled something like CR-VT-30, T30H, etc...

Don't sweat it, doughboy. :)

It took me a week to realize that I didn't even mention the size of that security bit in my video, so I'm sure quite a few people were like "great, he told me how to get the cover off but now I have to track down that bit all by myself!".
