I was riding the Star 650, had that for two years. Unfortunately wrecked that machine. After some consideration, I decided to go back to the Star 250. So now I am on the 2015 250. Good bike so far, Yamaha did some changes to the 250. The sound is better and the instruments are integrated.
Its been nearly 5 years. It would be neat to lock this thead and keep it posted, start a second one, and after some time, see how much it has changed. I bet 950 numbers surpass 1100s.
I have an 08 650 i have had 650s from the start Ecept i went for a virago 750 back to 650s to my mind they are the most versatile easiest ride speed after 140 // BUT you dont need it Glenn
I acquired a 2009 Vstar 950 in Sept 2013 with 855 miles on the odometer, I've sold it last week with 3020 miles after acquiring a 2009 Vstar 1300 with 4700 miles. The 1300 has lot more power and the floor boards are few inches closer to rider, fits my 5'7" frame better. Just an inch taller on the seat.
