After 2 months of painting and work, here is my 2009 VStar 1300. I added hardbags with lights on some modified factory mounts, engine bars with driving lights and turn signals. New passing lights with projector lights and halos, both on upper and lower lights. I added a faring with a 250 watt Bluetooth stereo. I added a 6 switch panel color matched to the bike. I added a new sissybar, a Cobra intake, Cobra exhaust and painted everything Emerald green candy over black metalflake. View attachment 141994

Wow. That is one tight looking machine. I found myself getting infatuated like I used to when I was a kid. That stud and leather theme rocks !!!my v-star 650...
the way it was when i bought it, and later the way it looks at the moment... it still needs the black low ape, the polished levers, the aluminium grips, and the chrome switchbox covers installed, but i still don't have a longer tube for the front brake...

How are you getting on with the BAK? I've a 10" car type Edelbrook arrangement which is equally free-flowing. My Dynojet map changed quite a bit at the midrange. I noticed a lot more pull with it though.Polished the fork lowers, added fender rail, and BAK.
It certainly allows the engine to breathe better. Now I'm just counting down to Sept 7th when Ivan reopens so I can send him my ECU and really unlock the power of this 1300.How are you getting on with the BAK? In speaking with Ivan, I went with the Cobra slip on muffler and the Barons BAK, as the best results were achieved with this set up and his tune. This will be the third bike he's tuned for me, all with very good results and no negative issues.Take it easy and avoid high midrange loads until the fuel map has been tweaked - up. I reverse engineered my Dynojet add-on maps, and the free flowing inlet settings were several points richer. The stock air inlet is very poor flowing due to it's location and requirements to be quiet, rainproof and compact.
Do you have the stock muffler or something noisier? Mine are straight through 50mm tubes with perforated muffler inserts. That leans the low end out, giving lots of snatching and popping without a map change.
